Thanx. Too bad it got laid over. Wasn't me, I let a "friend" ride it, and within five minutes it was on it's side. It's gonna get fixed one of these days hopefully.

I just finished installing the R1 mirrors today. Have had them sitting around since last year, but since the studs on the mirrors were too short I put it off for a while. I ended up making a backing plate to go behind each mirror instead of using the factory mirror bracket. They definitely look way better than the old mirrors. The 250R almost looks up to date now.[8D]

I also cut apart the original rear mudflap so I can have an inner fender, and some protection of the tail light wiring.
Since I mounted the license plate bracket where the license plate light once was, I had to use a metal backing plate because of the huge gaping holes.
And yeah, I washed this thing before reinstalling it.

Here it is installed on the bike.
It really is a better idea to do this than just using an angled metal bracket for the license plate. This way, like I said above, you will have an inner fender.

My next update will be stripping the paint off the wheel rim edges, and polishing the metal to a good shine. That will be when the new tires go on.
