Muzzy Exhaust

RE: Muzzy Exhaust
What the heck r u talking about? moped? Did you install the exhaust system correctly? I have three Ninja 250R's, an 06' 99' and a 96', all with muzzy's, only different models, the 06' has a carbon oval full system, and the other two have the round stainless. I hear all three almost everyday and I dont get from what crazy world you could compare the sound to a moped. Seriously though, even the cheaper round stainless steel exhaust system sounds like a GP bikewhen ur pushing the redline on the twistes. Take your bike to a mechanic buddy, u did something horrible if it sounds like a moped! ....moped.....tsk tsk....

hahaha, putt putts, sorry bout that, but i'm very protective when it comes to the good name of the EX 250R, I love this little track bike, i sold a 99' F4i to get my third 250. that in itself says alot. lol , truely sorry ,but i'm keeping my collection. maybe even add to it.

RE: Muzzy Exhaust
My 250 came with the muzzy and is there anyway to tell if it has been rejetted? The inside tip of the exhaust is black so it's prob running somewhat richer. Im pretty easy on my bike though I rarely go past 8k.

RE: Muzzy Exhaust
Well, if your a little mechanic savy its really not that difficult. Remove the seat and take a looksy under the filter pods, that is if the previous owner installed them. If not, there's a bit of work to be done, starting off by removing the air-box filter and putting in those K&N's.Taking out the filter box requires a bit of grunt work, but its wellworth it.The filter box just isent the best option if you have a muzzy, also, working on the carbs is just sooooo much easier with this upgrade.
