wow, and one of the members posted up 70mpg. Are there any tax cuts for having a ride like this?

Then again some say they get 70MPG on the 250 and I have never got more than 58.
I have come close to 70, but never actually got there yet

It would be nice to get some kind of a tax credit for owning ultra low consumption vehicles. We should get special designated parking too! And our license plates should be free!

It doesn't cost more to dream big than it does to dream small!

I agree. There should be some sort of incentive for buying a fuel saving vehicle. Hybrid cars have tax deductions right? My 250R gets better gas mileage than one of those!

I average 60 mpg on the 250 and I rev the crap out of her! So I can only imagine that someone with a lighter throttle would do better than that!

It's weird sometimes how the MPG can swing so far. My KLX has returned a low of 44mpg when hitting the trails hard. Yet Sunday running through the mountains and twisting winding it out in 4th and 5th gear for quite some time, (130 miles round trip) and then long slab sections at 3/4 throttle I got 70 mpg, and 66 mpg when I filled up which surprised me to say the lease. On the first fill up my friend got 62 mpg from her Virago 1100.

I get 72-78mpg with my 250r. I think it's so good cause the drive to work is 55mph cruising 1 stop then 55mph crusing with like 3 more stops then im at work. It's 15miles 1 way and 14.2 miles of that is cruising. I am pretty light on the throttle most of the time though. I fill her up between 175 - 200 miles on the tank and put about 2 to 2.6 gallons in most of the time.
