Moving down? (have a CB750, and want ex250 too)
Hello every body! I am new here.
My first bike was a Honda Rebel (234cc) and I loved its light weight and flickability. I currently ride a Honda Nighthawk (750cc).
I would like to keep the cb750 and add theex250 to the garage. My main reason is having something more fun around town and in turns. Something I can just hop on and GO!
Has any one "moved down" like this. What were your reasons and impressions of the ex250 vs your larger bike?
Thanks!

Yup.
My first bike was (and still is)my KZ750. But I bought my Ninja 250R last year. I love riding both bikes. Like you mentioned, the 250 size bikes are much more maneuverable and easier to ride in the city. Back when I took the MSF class, I got a chance to ride a rebel 250. The rebel was a decent bike, but had about half the power as the 250 Ninja, and the handling/braking wasn't on par with the Ninja.I don't know if you've ever ridden an EX250 Ninja before, but you'll be very surprised byhow much more it has to offer compared to any other 250ccmotorcycle out there.
Anywho.... good luck, and hope to see you on one soon!

Mark,
Thanks for the reply! It seemes that our 750's are very compareable (inine 4 / old design / standard seating)
When and whydo you chose to ride the little one over the big one? Can your corner better? Do you have more confidence? I am sure both are fun, but wich is "more fun", or what situations make each fun?
Thanks again. I would love to try one, but don't have any friends w/ one. The purchase price and cost of ownership of a used one seems like a risk worth taking!

Well, that didn't take long!
I picked up a used 2007 w/ 450 miles on her today! I am grinning ear to ear! I had cash in hand, took it for a 10 min test ride, and now she is mine!
I put 100 miles on her so far. Seen indicated 95MPH no prob. Spent some time in the parking lot. Ran throught some neighborhoods.
Initial comparisons between the CB750 N.H. and ex 250 ninja.
1. Ninja is great in turning.
2. I have more confidence on the Ninja.
I think the ninja will improve my riding sills. I will be hanging on to the CB750 for the long trips. Look for more of me on "kawisakiforums". I look forward to the info sharing.

+1 on the 10% rule. Now they even have a gentlemans rule. Go figure! Pretty soon it will be called the reach around rule. who knows. Again, congrats on the ride.
