KAWASAKI SUCKS AT GETTING OEM PARTS
Well, after having my bike hit from behind, I have found out that Kawasaki really sucks at getting factory OEM parts for the 08 Ninja 250. My shop can not get all the parts needed to get my bike back up and running.
I also ordered a seat cowl for my bike about a month ago and found out that they will not have any available for the next two months.
WTF!
I really like my 250, but with the service that Kawasaki lacks in parts and products, I will never buy another Kawasaki again.
Good luck finding parts if you need any.

dont give up on Kawi. Honestly any time any manufacturer of anything changes the design big time parts will be harder to get. Reason being all the parts being made are going straight to the new product. You are simply seeing the dark side of getting a first year run product...

Dillon has the correct answer on this one.
The dealer I've been talking to told me that parts would be hard to get for the 08 250R because all parts were going towards producing more bikes because of the demand for this one.

parts are not an issue for kawasaki when its not a brand new bike with a current shortage going on, they can't get enough of them out there so of course productiont ime for replacement parts is going to suffer. I've never had any problem getting stuff for my bike but its not a new bike either. Kawasaki actually tends to be better than the other companies as far as keeping replacement parts in production and keeping supplies and prices reasonable.

Well, I got my bike back today. I'm still missing a mirror and two turn signals. I talked to the dealership and am going to have some after market signals installed instead. A mirror costs $75.00 and turn signals cost $40/each. If I go with after market parts, I'll spend half of that.
I'll have my bike until Saturday, then she will go back in to get the after market parts installed. I'm still not happy with Kawasaki or their customer service, but I do love my bike.
Thanks for the posts.
