Nice find. I think that the 250's are a great buy for the money. I was going to sell my '05 for $2000 and take some $ I had saved and look for a 600, but ****, the money I had wouldhave gotten me a15yr old beat to hell bike. So I decided to keep the bike another year.

Have you had a chance to take it out?

 

Yeah, for a 97 250, she runs great. U got to put her on choke when u first start her up, but 3 min. later, she'll itial pretty well. Gears are nice and smooth. My boyfriend, who use to ride a 750, really like the bike alot. He knows it's slower than any other bike he's had, but He likes how it does on turns.

I'm happy. Just now need to get confident as a rider by mid summer, so I can enjoy it even more.

 

Yeah..for a 97 Ninja 250, it rides likes its new. When I first start it, i got to choke it up for about 3 min., but after that, it itials good. The gears are smooth, and my boyfriend, who use to ride a 750, likes the was it hands, especally around turns.

I'm happy. I just need to get confident by mid-summer, so I can enjoy it even more.

Welcome to KF!!! I started on a 250 too great bike but I eventually out grew her and now I have a ZX7R. Although I do miss my baby ninja sometimes--it was really flickable and fun in the corners and it got about 70 mpg <--- I definitely miss that!
