Hey,
I am new to the kf family, and have just bought my FIRST BIKE.
I got my licence from the RIDER COURSE.
My Bike:
Is a 1997 Ninja 250 with only 2200 miles on it.
My boyfriend and Iwent tosee the bike our-selfs, but we couldn't ride itb/sthe owner did not have theoringinal Battery. Hehad us listen to the engine (by usingabattery from another bike) and the engine sounded great. (We left a deposite to secure the deal)
My quesiton: when the bike is delivered tomorrow, can i take it for a test ride (I'm a new rider)and, if yes, what should I be looking for?
WhatcanI do to the bike, to make sure I getting what I paid for?(without pissing off the seller).
Let me know.....

motor revving smoothness, shifting smooth, no clunking, throttle responce, overall handling of it, tires, chain, look at the oil too. hell with pissing the guy off, let it be known your making sure your ok with the deal before you pay up, if he dont like that then look for another bike.

welcome to the forums...and Evil is right, to hell with not pissing the guy off, because how are you going to feel if two months down the road you find out the whole bike is messed up??
But yeah, look for any major scratches or dents, might indicate the bike had been dropped. Listen to the engine for any significant ticking or clicking....as far as riding it, smooth shifting, make sure it doesnt slip while shifting. thats about all i would look for while riding. like a car, you will know if the bike rides ****ty or not.

Sounds like a good deal to me.
I think if the guy sells them for a living, he at least has some idea what he's doing.
Post us up some pics once you get it!![Smile](https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
