The only prob I would have with the 250 is that I would have to totally redo the suspension to meet my needs.

I hopped a curb last night on mine while riding home from work. I was heading toward the train tracks when the lights started blinking, and the arms came down, so I slowed down, popped the front wheel up over the median and turned myself around to go the other way.

Bought it crashed front end by the bars. Forks are straight but clamps are pretty tweaked. I happened to lose a bid on-bay for a set and right know funds are depleted. Thansk for the reply though.

I've heard the 250 triple clamps are crap! Apparently, it only takes a small amount of force to ruin them. Good luck finding some.

A buddy of mine had a 1986 model when I was in college. I loved the look of that bike. It was unique and looked like a race bike. He sold it to a guy who crashed it the first time out. Then he sold it to another guy who learned to ride, kinda. He sold it in a week and got a then brand new FZR1000. He would drop it at every light he stopped at. He would forget to put his feet down Those old 250s are impossible to find now[]
