I Wanna Ride.

I Wanna Ride.
Hey everyone, I have been looking at this forum for a while now and I know i will be gettin a bike. Probly not so soon but in a while. I know this question has been asked a bagillion times but I'm not sure if i can fit this bike. I must say that I have had experience with powersports. When I was 12 I got my first machine and it was a kawasaki V-force. People thought my parents were crazy for letting me have such a big machine. It was kinda true cause i never really use all of its power. A couple of months ago I got a kawasaki klx110 (pitbike). I was told by alot of people that I am too big for it 6'1 210. I know im pretty big for my age (im only 15). But I have to say i fit it fine and i like being on my 110 rather than my V. Thats why I am leaning towards the 250. Id have more fun riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike go slow. I know i have to wait till im 16 (june 1007) till I even get a permit but id like to make up my mind now so i know how much i have to save up. I would problly be used for city drivin and small highway use. I would like to be able to keep this bike for a long time and make it faster, more comfortable and such. Sorry for the long post but I hate it when i read about some newb and they dont explain a thing. Thanks

RE: I Wanna Ride.
Welcome to the forums!
I am almost 180lbs, 6ft 1, and have no problem riding my 250. Taller riders won't have a problem if that is your main concern. I have also heard of much heavier riders that you on 250's also.
If there is one down side to the 250, it's that you will become very uncomfortable on it after an hour 1/2, to 2 hours. The seat on this bike just wasn't made for long hauls.[:@] For in town riding, you couldn't choose a better bike though!

I have heard of alot of people who had there 250 for a long time and never upgraded. Im not a speed freak and like the speed it goes. After all I will mostly use it for the city.

It sounds like, for what you are wanting it for... A 250 or a 500 either would be a good choice. Keep both those options in mind, and see which you can find the best deal on.

Speaking of that I actually thought of the klx250s for a long time. After realizing that I'd rather be onroad and there being no point in going offroad I then started to lean towards the streetbikes. But thanks for the suggestion.
