I don't like to ride on the streets. When I get my bike this summer I will be taking it to the track. I want to have some fun. How many of you guys like to race?

 

Track was my primary source of ride time. but gets costly, so riding on the street is a substitute. Not that street riding is any less expensiveand is moredangerous. Club racing is more fun and safer. Why my wife is backing me for this next season.

 

I've never been on a track with a bike. I'm sure it would be fun, but I get too damn nervous.

 

hahahaha, the butterflies are always there for me as well. Getting your grid, tech and hitting the first corner with 49 other riders. But things calm down when you are on your pace.

Wherever the conversation goes it's all good. How much does it cost to use a track? I was looking forward to riding with my local club, but not before I take some courses and spend the summer riding my local streets.

 

Price kinda depends on your local club. About $300 or so to attend the newbie classes, track time, number, etc.for the first track weekend. Then about $120 or so for your next entry weekend. Then depending on the club again, you graduate. (Probably around 3 races in Novice with no crashes and good finishes.) I get to experience being a Novice again but in a different club this time around.
