help headlight wont turn on (ninja 250)
first id like to say hello to everyone here & that i am a proud new owner and first time user of a motorcycle (just started riding last week) ok I recenly purchsed a 1995 kawasaki ninja ex250 and drove it home at night, everything was fine, until the next day i turned it on to keep practicing and the headlight wont turn on
1) i thought it was the bulb, cheked it direvtly with a 12v battery...works fine
2) cheked all the fuses.... works fine (though i need a diagram for the junction box cause the door is missing
3) i press the low/high beam swith and not even the blue light in the instrument panel turn on?
4) i noticed (when it was working) that the headlight on ninjas turn on after the engine is running
??? could it be a relay? if so where is it located, my battery is fine and generator also....
help plzz thanx

RE: help headlight wont turn on (ninja 250)
I think there's a headlamp module that energizes a relay once you push the starter button. I really don't know how the headlamp system works, but you could probably trace the headlamp wire(s) down to the relay, and then see if there is power going to the relay.
Only a guess.
Good luck and welcome to KF!

As mark mentioned, I too am not familiar with your ride. Could be a sticky relay or the ignition switch not making contact. Just guesses though at the moment.
