Good deal or not?

Good deal or not?
Hey guys...im thinking about joining the 250 family. At first I did not think I would be able to buy the 250 because my insurance policy was too high, but I found another company that lowered it. So that means I am planning on buying the ninja instead of the rebel.
I looked for some bike places in myarea and most of them did not have a brand new 250 in stock. However I found one dealership with a used 2007 silver 250 with a minor scratch, looks like it is in fair conditionand it has 40 miles on it. I would rather buy a new one but i need a cheap practicebike and its the only one i found. The salesman wanted to sell it to me for $2250, but I was thinking"are you serious?" The guy thought I knew nothing about motorcycles and he told me that$2250 was half of the msrp. I made sure to catch himin his lie and I'm sure I can lower it.So my question to you guys is: what would be a suitable price for this bike?
Tomorrow I will travel to adifferent dealership to look for a new bike, but if all else fails, the used bike will most likely bemy ultimate choice.

RE: Good deal or not?
A 2007 for $2,250 is a very good deal as long as the "scratch" is just that. That Rebel is junk compared to the Ninja250, not even worth a comparison. A new Ninja250 sold for $2,995 and up. When my wife got hers, the average going rate in our region was around $3,400 plus taxes. If the bike you are looking at looks nice and has a warranty, grab it before it disappears.
