My g/f has expressed some interest in learning to ride. She has never rode before. Is the 250 a good bike for her to start on and be happy with for years to come? She is about 5'7' 110lbs does this 250 offer enough power for her and will she be able to handle it? Is this a bike that will get boring after a year because it is a 250 or is there enough power that it will always be fun? any input is appreciated!

To start out, she should either check out the 250 or the 500, maybe even the new 650R. Take her out and let her sit on a couple of different bikes to see what she feels more comfortable on. Even though these bikes get branded as starter bikes, they are a lot of fun! Every time I go out on my 500 I'm like a little kid again! I have an absolute blast on my bike, I have already put in one season on it, and I have no immediate plans on upgrading.
