Default Fuel and parts

ill be getting my 250 here next month ...should i run only 93 in it and also where can i find the rear cowl accesory....ive been looking at where to get it and i can't find it

No need for 93 Octane.

As for the cowl, Advanced Kawasaki in Buena Park, California is the best. Talk to Kevin or Tom. Selling the rear cowl for $78 when retail is $99.

No, no, and no on 93! Absolutely no need for it. Higher octane does not 'mean' more 'power'. It also won't magically make the 250R run better than lower octane. It only helps prevent pre-detonation from occurring with some engines. In a general rule of thumb, you will potentially gain more power from lower octane fuel as long as pre-detonation doesn't happen. Even when riding in 115 degree heat, I have never had ANY problems with 87 octane in my 250R. From idle to redline, she runs perfect on 87!
