Sounds reasonable to me from what others have said. $250-$400 I don't personally know because I do all my own services which are free.

oil, filter, crush washer, lubes, and good ol EPA recycling fee. dealer parts are marked up 100 percent or more also. so the five dollar filter will cost 15 dollars so on and so forth. then a 100 dollar and hour rate for the mechanic. it adds up fast

I work at a chevy/ford dealership (parts man.) andi might buy everything from the dealership and just let one of my mechanics service it for me. I just dont want to be the type of person to only take my bike to the dealership when it needs warranty work.

what you need to do is get the valve adjustment tool and do you own work. it is easier than you think, plus it makes you take pride in your bike.

You cannot do the first service yourself. If it's what you guys are talking about. If you do not bring it back to the dealership to have them do work, your 1 year warranty will void.

about 600 miles, get to the dealer and get it done.
