Default EX250 vs. HYOSUNG GT250R

I have been researching around for a nice small compact motorbike and have had my eyes set on an EX250 for a while. Ive owned a 7R and an EX500 and both have been very reliable and awesome motorbikes...but then I found this!

http://www.epfguzzi.com/hyosung/motorcycles/gt250r.html

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kawas...QQcmdZViewItem

I know its a Korean bike buttheDOHC engine, 4 piston brakes (2x dual pot), 150 rear tire, inverted forks and looks are leaving me in doubt as to what I should do...I called the AZ dealer and the MSRP is $3,995 - same as an EX250. If I do decide to get the EX250, I will most likely purchase privately to save myself the dealer hassle plus a couple grand. IF ANYONE HAS ANYMORE INFO ON THE GT250R or HAS SEENor RIDDEN ONE, your FEEDBACKwould be greatly appreciated. THANKS

I would go for it! I hate to say it but that hyosung 250 looks much nicer than the ninja 250. As long as parts are readily available for them, I don't see why not.

I saw the Hyosung at the International Motorcycle Show. It sits very nice...its as big bodywise as a 600. Its got a good price on it too. They have a nice 600 too. I was hella impressed with it. now as far as any kind of aftermarket parts ....who knows....but it sounded pretty good and like I said big gas tank and sits like a 600. It looks and feels more like a 600 than a 250. You still have to take into consideration whether replacement parts will be readily available just in case something happens. I would find that out first. Good Luck!

The bike looks freakin' sweet! You mentioned the msrp is $4K? That's $1K more than the 250 and $1K less than the 500. For all the nice extras like digitals, the looks, and....the looks (again). Have you seen there 650? That is one ugly bike! Just my opinion though.

God! I wish the Kawasaki offered that digital clock, and a GAS GAUGE on their 250s!

Look at Hyundai. They used to be one of the crappiest car companies out there. But now, they have fewer reported problems per 100 vehicles than Toyota does.

Yup yup, they really turned that place around, but just cause it doesnt break doesnt mean its a good car. Never liked the style, and it seems like they were always more focused on making it cheap than fun, on top of their previous reputation for being the crappiest cars ever built. Now we got the chinese to laugh at

But just looking at the bike, it doesnt look like they cut any corners with it, and I can't see how its possible for that bike to not be fun to ride unless the engine is powered by unionized hamsters. Besides that it really catches your eye, so pluses all around.
