CRASH! 2008 Ninja 250r goes down!
Yesterday someone clipped my rear tire and sent me tumbling. I was going about 45mph and hit the ground with the bike landing on my left ankle. Luckily i was wearing my gear (helmet, jacket, jeans). Only mistake was i was wearing sneakers and badly spranged my left ankle. Left side of the bike is really messed up. Mirror and turn signals fell off. The shifter went threw my leather shoe and stabbed my foot and then bent in. I had to bend it back out to drive home. I was in shock so didnt feel my ankle messed up, drove home and then started feeling the pain. Car got away, never stopped. And I have to run to work right now so i'll post some pics later tonight and if you have any questions about me, the bike, insurance, w.e. dont hesitate to ask! I can answer these questions any time but pics will be posted tonight or tmrw!

WOW! What would posses someone to not stop? Sorry for what has happened to you.[&:]I can't imagine what sort of scum bag it takes to not want to stop and see if a person is OK or not. And really it happens all the time. I bet in Washington state alone there are probably 10 pedestrian death hit and runs every year. What is wrong with people. Fault or not, YOU ALWAYS STOP!!!!! Get better man, and don't let it stop you from doing what you love. Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw 30 years ago. It said: "I love mankind,...it's the people I can't stand".

that sucks i hope you get better quickly. Ibuprofen for the win on inflammation and in large enough doses (like my 800mg) kills pain too. just take er easy and heal up.

No chance to find the driver! =(
But no worrys i have excelent insurance. State Farm! So they are on my side and paying for everything.
I claimed the bike as totaled becuase the frame was scratched and i told them i think it could be bent.
So im getting a check for a new bike =)

That sucks man, idiots. If someone commits a hit and run they need to be off the road, period. I remember the time I dumped my 07. Luckily it was on my nieghborhood road and I was coming out of it onto the main road when the bike stalled at which point I had already had my feet up. It didnt move but 6 inchs so I didnt make it onto the main road. I put my feet down quickly but not quick enough, the bike fell real slowly to the ground and I picked it back up right away. My wrist got a little strianed from bending strangly when it was going down but I was able to jump off and get to the side of it so then I picked it back up, lol. There was a little scratch on the muffler, small one on the mirror and a small piece of rubber came off for the shifter. You couldn't really see them unless you were close up and knew they were there. I got lucky, sounds like you did to for the most part being that you were wearing your gear and just got a sprained ankle, could have been alot worse. Sucks the bike got messed up buy hey at least your getting a check. If its your first bike and you havn't been riding for long, I would say stick to the 250r for awhile until you get more experience. Look at it this way, better for someone to hit your $3500 bike and mess it up then it is for someone to hit your $6-$12,000 bike when your inexperienced. Anyways good luck and watch out for those major Aholes!!
