Default RE: choke lever

If I haven't ridden it for a day or two, I use half choke and pull on the throttle very slightly enough to keep up the idle for a few moments allowing it to warm up...normally I don't have a problem with it starting though.

when I first bought the bike I really found out how cold blooded these ninjas are, so I understand what Your going through....however it isn't a big deal at all once You get the hang of it.

- Good Luck!

Hey I need similar help with my new 250 as well. First of all I have about 160 miles on the bike...when I try to start the bike I turn it on with the choker about half way...the issue is that even after 5 minutes, if I turn the choker off the bike will cut out. Any tips? I live in California btw it doesn't get VERY cold here.

I would just pull out the chock intill it will start and let it warm up. then slowly push it back to the nrmal postion that should let the bike keep running.

with full choke my bike is at 5000 rpms, without choke less than 1500 (i think) after warming up.

Normal?

ruttentud i'm not sure if full choke is 5000 rpms or not but with out choke you bike should be around 1300rpms when at idle.
