I am having a heck of a time finding a ninja 250 with these installed. They sell them on ebay but I was wondering are they functional? Is anyone here currently using them on the "classic" style ninja?

They're OK, but not for me. I ride too much in heavy traffic and the width of the bars is important for getting through tight gaps.

If you want a better view, some people have been pretty happy replacign the stockers with some R1/R6 mirrors...a member by the name of markmenteil (i think) did it to his bike,

 

Just another part to break if you drop your bike. Hook up a back up (rear view) camera, there not too expensive. Been thinking about doing that. I hate mirrors myself but illegal not to have them on.

 

I really cant stand the look of the stock mirrors. I thought about the R6 mirrors but just love the look of the bar ends, like on the Ducati's. But for me functionality is more important than looks. I want to be able to see cars coming up behind me when I'm stopped.

But if they vibrate to the point i cant see what's behind me then thats a no no.

I checked ebay for the R6 mirrors, does anyone else know where to get them?

cyclegear...maybe
