BAFFLES OR KNOCK EM OUT???
I was thinking of changin the exhaust on my 06 250 and it seems more affordable to just knock out the baffles.......but i dont want it to sound more like a lawnmower, but i do want a more deeper sound. I'll have to jet it out either way but i like the dual exuast and no one offers anything but a 2-1 (like muzzey) does neone know what it will sound like?? thanks.

RE: BAFFLES OR KNOCK EM OUT???
Hello . There was company that made nice slip ons for the 250 and 500 caled F1's two cans bright alum finish . I had them on my EX 500 ten years ago and they sounded very nice IMO . about $200 at the time for both of them together .
Go see my How to thread on building a 2 into 1 exaust for the 250 and 500 and it shows you how to remove the baffle out of a stock can . My wife loves the way her 500 sounds but all twins have that lawn mower sound with open cans IMO but she is happy so I am too .
Here are a few pics for you but you will find the instructions in the how to forum .

RE: BAFFLES OR KNOCK EM OUT???
The stock exhaust does look good on those....
C10..... To change the sound, without having to run an open can, can you just cut the baffles down a little at a time, and reinstall them? Until you get the sound desired? Or after the baffles are out, are they able to go back in?

Once they are out the way I show you would have to weld them back in . I actuly plan on cutting the can completly open and building my own baffle that flows better than stock . I just havent had the time yet .

Yeah i really like the stock exhaust too. Thanks for the directions, they will come in handy. One other question, did u jet yours out afterwards? I Know when u start mnessing with the exhaust u have to jet it out.

RE: BAFFLES OR KNOCK EM OUT???
yes it can . but it would depend on the change , and how drastic it was to the increase in air flow . One I have not increased the air flow coming in . ( still OE air filter and air box un modified ) I also built my wifes two into one system and am now pushing
two cylinders worth of exaust gases through one exaust can . So in my case it dosent realy NEED a rejet till I increase air flow coming in the engine .

RE: BAFFLES OR KNOCK EM OUT???
Ive been trying to find some slip ons for my 250 but i cant find any exhaust specifically for the 250 besides muzzey 2 to 1. I think the only slip ons i can find might be for the 500, will those fit my bike??
