Anyone replaced tires yet?
Considering that the time to buy new tires will come sooner than I realize, I've been doing market research on tires for the 250. Unfortunately, not only can I not find any stickier-higher performance tires, but I can find no tires except the OEM from Dunlop. Dunlop doesn't even have any alternatives that would fit this rim size.
So, I f anyone has replaced their tires with anything other than OEM please post lemme know!

Yea. I just replaced the rear tire with only 3,300 miles on it. Replaced it with a metzler 880 in the 130-90-16 size. I know it a little larger but not by much. This helps gear this bike up a little. I use the bike mostly for commuting and need a long lasting tire. It also has great wet weather holding power. If you use it on the track and hard sport riding look at bridgestone bt 45's. You ought to go to 250 ninja forum for advise on tire selection. For long wear go with the metzler!!!

Yes I commute on this as well about 55 miles every day, and longer lasting was actually what I was shooting for. I don't know if I want to skew the odometer reading with differing size tires though.

don't worry bout that mileage... you'd have to ride thousands and thousands of miles before the reading is noticeably different.
you should be able to find more tires than what you have i would think... we have bridgestone bt35f's (battle ax) on my gf's ex500 (yea, i know it's not a 250)... am also very pleased with the new metzler sportec m1 tires on my zx7r, got them on super-sale for 140 for the pair! not bad for a z rated tire eh?
also, size can be adjusted a size up or down without much, if any, handling disturbance (especially on a lower cc bike like the ninja250). just watch your clearances.
