Default 92' ninja, very picky on fuel?

ok, my ninja only runs well on 93 octane. Which is fine by me, but if I dont ride the bike for a while, the bike wont run on the week old gas. I have to drain the tank, and bowls. Put fresh fuel in, and it runs fine. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a K&N air filter, jet kit, and a muzzy if that makes a difference?

Bump.

No one else has this problem?

Ifind it odd I have to completely drain and put fresh fuel in if the fuel in it is a week old. What would be causing this?

Do you have a rusty tank, or did you recently add some sort of fuel additive?

So what happens with your engine when you do try running it on week-old gas? Does it just have a hard time starting or idling? I just can't imagine the gasoline itself would be causing your problems. I've let my bike sit for almost two months without running her, and she still starts up no problem.

It will idle, but will not rev over 4k. As soon as it gets fresh fuel, it runs fine.
