Sean, that Raven is not going to have the ***** even at that price for the street use. How often are you going to be in the powerband in street use is what I am asking. Again, congrats on the new to be ride, but not really knowing your needs, has me thinking.

where are the pics dude.
And i think drag means that, on a 250 you can pretend you are rinding in a race every day because you have to use all the gears, you get the chace to make the bike scream more often than you would with a larger displacement bike. anyways congrats on you new purchase, and watchout for the 250r on the twisties, good luck dude

I was also waiting on a new 2008 Ninja 250R but I couldn't wait either. In January I bought a 2004 Yamaha R6 Limited Edition with 2100 miles for $4250. I've only been able to take it out a few times due to the weather and dirt all of the road but I am glad I went with this.Ithink if I would have gotten a 250 it wouldhave been a great bike to learn on but after a summer I would be sellingit and buying a600. So I decided to take this deal and just go easy on the 600 until I am comfortable and I can keep this bike as long as it lasts.

Yep the silver flamed one. It was completely stock when I got it but I have added an integrated tail light, front flush mount signals, fender eliminator, tank pad, and a black windscreen. So far so good.

What he's saying is the r6 has to be reved to the moon. Not too much low end on the street. I've heard that their great on the track though, where you canwring it's neck. You don't really get to ride around on the street too often at 14,000.

Glad I didnt wait. Rode the 250R yesterday and an R6 Raven today. The power is night and day difference. Now I cant see giving 3500 for a 250cc when you can get a 600cc for just a little bit more.
