Default 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R pricing inquiry

Hi all,

I'm a new rider looking for 250 to start out. I really like the 2008 model. MSRP is listed as $3500....however, dealer in my area wants like $4500.

How muchdid you guys paid for your 2008 **AND** which dealership you purchased it ???

I got mine (an '08 Green)for $4,026 OTD in February from CJ's Kawasaki in Lumberton, North Carolina. I've been riding on the street for many years (last bike was a 2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200R), but I can't remember having as much fun on a bike as I'm having on the new Ninja 250R....

$4419 thats dealer tax, tag, title, prep fees the whole works, what is known as the OTD (Out the door) price, with a helmet (flip up hehe) and gloves thrown in for "free".

This is in GA.

My suggestion, canvas the different dealerships and find the best price, make them compete for your business. You don't really have much leverage unlike cars, these things are selling like hotcakes and the dealership usually gets the price they quote but if so, get them to throw in some gear so you can ride out of there. Also, cash talks and greases a lot of wheels and goes a long way to getting your own way.

I got mine for $3800.00 OTD from Southern Illinois Motorsports in Carbondale, Ilinois. It also included a free helmet (Fulmer). These guys have been great, friendly, helpful. I highly recommend this dealer for buying a bike, any bike. When I buy my next one, I'll go back and buy from them.

I got mine for $3505 out the door from Pro Flow Powersports in Laurel, MS. I called every dealer in a 3 state area and no one would come off the MSRP except them. He gave it to me for 3199 plus tax and that was it.

Honda West out of Ft. Worth, $3,400 plus tax, at $4076 OTD. I notice on another thread that another person got the same deal I got from here. Check it out. Not bad at all especially 65-70mg.....

Yes I did but I also put$500 hundred down at the time of purchase and it is 6.9% for 2 years and then it jumps up quite a bit so you and I got the same deal. I also bought the actual service manual at $40 and a helmet so minus these items and it should be close to what you paid. I am shocked at the prices people are saying on here at $4,300 before taxes and even higher on some other forums. We must be pretty lucky guys....

Actually, it can be had for $3992 OTD at Irving Honda...they just don't have it in stock. I paid $4328 OTD and paid it off so I didn't get that good of a price at Honda West...except they had one NOW and it's black which is what I wanted.

What exactly did they charge you for destination charge & dealer setup fee? I was charged 288 + 188 or those....which is kinda bs.
