dood, everyone tells me that too. This is what they try to charm me with?--"Hey man, your gonna like your bike for the first couple of months, but then you'll be pissed you don't have enough power." I tell them every time i just want a bike it doesn't need to be fast. plus the 08 250r is drop dead sexy

I try and imagine what it would be like if I didn't own two bikes. The KZ750 even though much faster, gets less use than my 250R. To me, the 250R is much more livable from day to day. But I do like taking the KZ out for a little excitement every now and then. If I did only have the 250R, I might see myself getting board with it after a short while.

Get the bike you like, and don't worry about what other people think. I was happy with my Eliminator 125 until I rode it from Augusta to Birmingham (my back hurt like hell after that ride... 7 hours each way). True, it had no power whatsoever, and it wouldn't get out of its own way, but it was a fun little bike. I got a lot of great enjoyment out of it. Well, I did get pissed off at it when I forgot I was on a cruiser and tried to lean it like a sportbike... the pegs scraped... not fun. It really doesn't matter what size engine you get, there are definately things to be enjoyed about riding. Get the bike that's right for you, and to hell with everybody else.
