Thanks to all on the 650 forum.
I would like to thank all of you who post on here. I am new to the forum and a new 650 owner. I made the decision to buy the 650 because of all the posts on here about the bike.
I have been riding for about 15 years. Mostly choppers and cruisers. I just got into sport bike riding about 2 years ago. I had a CBR 929 and loved it but, I really did not care for the riding position. I wanted something more comfortable that also handled well.I liked the 650 but was concerned about the HP (not an ego thing but I just wanted to be sure it could pull me down the road ok). I picked up a new 08 650 and I thinks its great (bigger isnt always better). I get a littlecrap from some of the sport bike riders I work with because of the lower HP rating but, Im not a racer or do I needcompensate for something, so this bike is perfect. I think it is a great bike for beginners and for seasoned riders as well.
Again, I just want to say thanks for all the posts that helped me with my decision.

RE: Thanks to all on the 650 forum.
Welcome to the KFamily. Congratulations on your new purchace. I know exactly what you mean about getting crap for "only" having a 650, but they don't know what riding is really all about.
