Regular Or Preium gas for the 08 1600 Nomad?

Welcome to the Forums, Nomad. As tempting as it may be, I will not offer my explanation of how octane works and what might be best suited to your needs. (--Insert--much applause from the membership--here.)
What is specified for your engine? What is your compression ratio?

If it was mine, 91 is what I would use. All my atvs and my klx I use 91. Plus if you let the bike sit for awhile, the 91 will last longer than 87 with the higher octane rating. I even run 91 in all my old vehicles since I dont drive them much.

I started running the highest in all my bikes and in the family car. The difference in price is offset by a better performing engine and more mileage. Its basically a wash, you get back what you put in. (TWSS)

I'm going to stick to the 91 octane my bike is a 08 1600 Nomad it runs good on the 91 just wanted to see if anyone was running a lesser grade and how it preformed. Ride safe and Have Fun!
