17-2 in the 02 manual.

Starter lockout switch or neutral switch trouble. Starter motor trouble. Battery voltage low. Starter relays not contacting or operating. Starter button not contacting. Wiring open or shorted. Ignition switch trouble. Engine stop switch trouble. Fuse blown.

Default Success..Kinda

Thanks to white hendrix, I found that elusive fuse hidden behind 2 other fuses...I checked it and found that bad boy was indeed broken..Replaced it and bingo..We have ignition!!! A short premature celebration later I found the real problem. My parking light won't go off!! The position of the key doesn't seem to matter. When I do switch it to park it just gets brighter. So I had to disconnect the battery in order to prevent it from draining down. If I can figure out how to turn the parking lights off..we'll be in business. Any clues??

theres a wire dedicated to the taillight coming from the keyswitch.. it's either blue or red.. red i think... contact could be hanging up inside the keyswitch

OR

make SURE its the running light and not the brake light.. if you hit the brake and notice no difference if brightness, check your brake switches. particularly the rear brake switch. unplug one at a time. if the light goes to the dim running light, you've found the sticking brake switch.

hopefully that helps!!

Welcome to KF, it's good to have you on board. I see you have met our local electrical genius Whitey. All I have tyo add to the fuse issue is that when you have a main fuse blown, it is possible that you have a short to ground somewhere in the wiring although fuses do just go bad. If it blows again, find the short.

Back home after vacation..Now to find the problem...Its not a brake switch.. That makes the tailight brighter..Do I need to take apart the ignition switch to see where its hanging up?

The parking light and tail light will not go off no matter what I do. It gets brighter when I turn they key to the park position..The tail light gets brighter when I step on the brake.
