Default new rider > '05 zzr600

Just bought a '05 zzr600. I've rode dirt bikes growing up. Took an MSF training class in March & got my license to ride. I live in NY & wanted to know if there are any girls in my area just learning themselves. Just getting used to riding in the streets. It's pretty fun but can't quite catch up to my boyfriend yet. He's pretty patient w/ me but I'm sure he likes to ride w/ the boys sometimes. Any girl riders in NY?

Welcome! I'm a girl rider (well, soon to be ) but not from the US, I live in Canada.

Sounds like you've got a nice bike, I've got a 94 EX500 that I can't wait to take out for a spin. I am taking the MSF this Friday.

Hey there, welcome to the forum. I'm not in NY, I'm in Indy, but I am a faithful gal rider. I took my classes last June and I ride a 91 EX500-Red/White. You will meet a lot of neat people on this forum. Good luck to ya and keep us informed of your adventures.

Keep the rubber side down!

Thanks for all the replies ladies. Sure glad I'm not the only one out there learning. My 600 is heavy when I don't brake straight. I have an awesome nocturnal blue paint job w/ a d & d pipe. I've done pretty much everything you can on the bike. I've dropped it twice already. Luckily, I had sliders put in & saved it. Just little scratches. My poor baby. Hopefully the weight won't be a problem. I know it's a matter of getting to know the bike but I'm still going to be the same weight. Anyone experience dropping the bike when they didn't brake straight?

Welcome!!

Nice to see all the girls getting together in this thread.

I don't live in NY. Currently I live in Va. (boooooo) The roads are GREAT here but for me it takes forever to get there b/c I live near DC. So I am constantly dealing with traffic. Then in 6 days I am moving to Fl. So I can't help ya out with a riding partner but I still wanted to say hello!!

Sounds like you got a good guy. My ex when I first got into bikes was not patient at all with me. In fact he was just a jerk. Hence why he is the ex.

Have fun with your bike and happy riding days!!
