Well its a bit beat up, but what can u expect for $1,000. Low miles, I think 12k. I'll get a picture up sometime soon. It needs a new battery and a petal (thing that juts out for your foot) for the right side brake. It's missing a lot of it's fairings, but the cosmetic downfalls are only problems of the future that I will be addressing when money is available for it. I'm just worried that the loose wires shouldn't be semi-exposed like they are. I should probably bring it to a shop to have them check for anything and to at least get the battery and foot peg in there. The throttle side is ever so slightly loose, so yeah as a noob to bikes, I'm not gonna try to much on my own unless its something relatively simple. Plus the bike doesn't need much else to actually ride. Anywho, I'll probably end up taking it somewhere just to take care of those details. I don't know where to find a foot peg...

Congrats on the new-to-you bike and welcome to KF.

ya grabbed the foot peg on ebay, its here on monday. Got the bike to start after 2 unsuccessful attempts. I initially charged the new battery, put it in. Then it wouldn't start, but seems to be just almost starting, especially the first push of the button. Then I kept trying for about 30 secs and the battery died. So I put it back on the charger for about an hour or so and try to jump it with my car. No go there either. So I put it back on the charge until its juiced all the way again. install battery once again and she started up no problem. I took her around the block, nervous in turns lol. It just didn't feel quite natural for me to lean yet, so I was kinda wobbling through the 4 turns I made.

Time to go spend some quality time in a big empty parking lot!

How experienced are you with riding? Have you taken a motorcycle safety course? I'm looking to take a refresher this spring
