Welcome to KF Billy. Man I don't know about about the ZX-14 as a first bike. That thing is a rocket ship. I have been riding for fifteen years, and that thing has so much power is scary. I think the ZX-14 has something like 180 HP, and weighs 474lbs.. That's 2.6 HP per pound. That is a lot of machine for a new rider, hell that's a lot of machine for an experienced rider. Think real hard before you buy it wether you can really control that kind of power.

If your looking for your very first bike and you want a good amount of power go for the 600. Plus might i suggest buying a used one. cuz if you drop it you wont be so pissed off. 600 is prolly one of the most perfect bikes out there. Great power, and great handling. plus you can do a lot of Sh*t to it. Hope that helps and welecome to the forum

Welcome to the forums Billy. I would say as long as you respect the bike and know your limits any bike is good. If you have not already I would suggest that you take the Riders Safety Course As well. You will probably learn alot from it. Good luck and ride safe. Let us know what you decide.
