Default air filter/lower front shocks

hey guys new to the forum but so far seems pretty cool.I was thinking about getting a klx 250s I had other kawi dirtbikes in the past 85 klr250 a couple diffrent kdx's and a kx 125.Havent had one for quite a few years now but like the way the new ones look.I see there is a lot of info on this particular bike but the two qustions i got is first i got the same problem a lot of other riders have SHORT LEGS.I am also a little older know so it would be 90 percent on road but i would like to lower it 2 inches with either the soup or kolbu links but for the forks ive seen on a couple other threads where guys lowered this far with handle bar risers but they also talk about shims where it tappers.where do you get these shims and if any bodt had any pictures that would be cool.second i would diffentley open up the carb with a stage 2 dynojet kit and a full fmf exhaust.i see guys are taking off some snorkel and leaving the top of the air cleaner box off but dosen't uni or k&n make a cool air open pod air filter for it like you would find on a flat tracker.any sugg or comments would be appreciated.

Welcome to KF. Don't be a mole full time. There are some good reads in the klx area. Enjoy

Hey Jonny, welcome to the forums. not sure on the lowering links, I know several guys used them when first getting the bike. I'm just the opposite, I wish I could raise the bike, but a new Dunlop 606 will give it an inch taller. Jetting for me was done by the shop, 132 and 40 with no lid, the bike has run flawlessly for over 12,000 miles.
