2022 KLR 300 Advice to best uncork this bike
I have a brand new 2022 KLR 300 and I need guidance to best uncork and get the best performance. What slip on would you recommend and do I need to remap the software and open the air box? Any links you could share would also help. I have never done this, so you got a newbie here. Big thanks in advance for your help. Thumbs up

you might also post in the KLX250 forum too. Lots of overlap here.
First I'd take a look at the intake snorkel and if it is the smaller KLX version, get the KDX200 snorkel. It is quite literally twice the cross sectional area and a bit shorter in the air box. Better air flow. That will likely boost your power the most. I am not an owner of an EFI KLX, so I am not totally up on them. I do know there is a second butterfly in the intake that can be removed to boost power too. Cross post in the 250 forum as well as the 300 R.

...as well as a slip on pipe and larger diameter chambered header.
As long as the ECU is operating in closed loop, the O2 sensor will provide the necessary information to keep the proper air/fuel ratio. Because I use my KLX for regular daily transportation, it always runs in closed loop and so there's no need for a tuner.
