I recently fired this bike back up after 2 long days of cleaning the carb out. (BTW, the bike has set for 2 years.) The problem is I can push full throttle in 1st gear, but then when I get to 2nd and up WOT doesn't exist. I get no response from it. I can only pull the throttle back about 3/4. Past that and I just get this putt putt sound. It feels like its starving for air or gas...also after I ride it around the block and let it sit, gas drains from the carb on to the ground.

sounds like your float/needle is sticking, and your carb isnt filling up enough, yet still enough to keep it from stalling. unless you can do it yourself take it somewhere to get it cleaned and you should be alright

 

Can you tell me what part that is?
