Zwingle IA, Bergfeld Blast. hare scramble on the KLX

Thanks for the kind words from everybody. For the most part the diagonal logs are not too much trouble. Get the front over, and let the back follow. Usually the rear only moves to the side a little as it goes over. Logs, perpendicular and diagonal were all over out there, and I crossed 95% of them successfully. The other 5% got the better of me The A class guys are picking better lines across these spots, and are going much faster (amazingly fast). I think the higher forward momentum is a big help in keeping a straight line over these kinds of obstacles. I got plenty of praise from my buds that bailed out after the first lap. They both have plans of doing it again next year, but preparing a bit more beforehand. Yeah, I'm in for another harescramble. TNC I guess the bike is "floating" for a little bit. lol As the saying goes "it's not the fall that gets you, it's the sudden stop at the bottom" I'm lucky the ground was soft, and a little muddy, or I think that somersault would have done some damage. I'm probably too old to be just picking up this type of thing. 1968 I don't bounce like I used to.

Yeah the diagonal logs are manageable when you hit them right. Like you said Dan, when you get the front tire over them then the back tire will follow with a little sliding to either side. I hate getting caught in the rain on the trails with alot of those buggers. When the lichen on the downed trees gets wet they're slicker snot on a door ****.
