Your favorite and least favorite mods

Okay, then I'll revise a little...
The 13T sprocket looked good on paper, and worked fine off-road, BUT... it increased my road RPM to an unacceptable range. I went back to the stock 14T after a few rides.
Since doing the jetting/airbox/pipe mods, I find the 14T works great for me now. So, the 13T looked good, but it wasn't a very good mod for me.
Better...???

Now that is better The idea was to see what things people tried and then did not like them after trying it out. I tend to be pretty modest with doing stuff and right now I am watching my pennies. However, some mods sound like everyone really likes them and could make it to my bike! Pelican 1200 is one. I like it. It is like a waterproof and secure glove box.

Now I am carrying a Timbuk2 messenger bag and that is working GREAT. I carried one on my bicycle all through college and liked it too. However, some days I have my lunch, my gym cloths with shoes, my computer and whatever other things that I might need on that day. It gets so damn full that it hits my new Pelican on the rack and pushes me forward.
I may have to divide the load a bit. The messenger bag is nice since going to the store with it is really easy. You just rotate it around and drop your stuff in. It has a great zip pocket location for your wallet so you can access it without taking it off too. Its also water proof.

Brand is "JR Special" - aka a DIY job by me ;o)
Started with a piece of 2mm polycarbonate - surplus from another project.
Cut it to same with as headlamp mask - bend it down the middle with a heatgun and a plank of wood with clean edge (to avoid markings from a jagged edge - polycarbonate takes quite some heat before it bends).
But first I dropped the front fender to remove the lamp mask and dream up how to mount it.
As seen in one of below pics I cut the bottom more narrow - and made a simple metal bracket to bolt on the bottom part. This bracket bends backwards in both sides and fits the side screwmounts for the lamp mask.
I left the rubber schroud on the instrument housing, press-fiited a suitable piece of semi-hard sponge-thing (made from granulate) between shield and instrument house and tucked the rubber schroud in to cover the sponge-thing.
As to figurine out the height I didn't cut the top before I had done a trial mount to see how low/tall I liked it - seems I got lucky in first attempt ;o)
Oh - and I bent it to match the the angle of the lamp mask.
Also a pic of the (so far) final GPS mount behind the windshield - just low enough to be in lee of wind shield and just high enough so I can see the rev counter.
