Yes, another handle bar post

RE: Yes, another handle bar post
I just installed a set of Pro-taper contours on sunday and they feel great.I used the 7/8" to 1 1/8" riser adapters from rocky mountain and got the bars in the universal low bend to stay close to stock hieght.IMO they feel a little strange after the initial switch from stock because the sweep back is not as great but overal they feel great.I also like not having a crossbar to be in my way at all either which was a peeve of mine. They do feel wider but i believe it is because of the way the bend is set to the tips of the bars.I didn't try to fit the bar pad as it is a huge rectangle and just looks like it won't have enough room for the key to clear it.....doesn't matter as they look too good to cover up anyway.62$ and change for the bars from RMATV and i think it was 34 and change for the adapter kit.
also on stock bars to kill the hand numbing just use a die grinder and grind the 3 spot welds off the bar end weights on each side and then punch the weights down the bars till they stop.....killed all vibes for me and made it great till i hit a large imovable object (tree) that made me replace them.the barkbusters from acerbis helped also in the vibe killing.
