xt225
Screwin' around on the new xt225 I just bought, 100% stock. Since I have been practicing wheelies on the klx250sf I thought I'd give this little thing a try. Holy crap! This thing is sooooooo much easier to wheelie! 1st gear 10mph, small rev and dump and the thing just pulls up. After 1h on the klx I can carry a wheelie maybe 6" off the ground, with I xt within 5 minutes I was getting them to balance point. Why is the klx so much harder to wheelie?

I read about the 13 tooth front sprocket mod. I'm seriously considering it after I get some new tires. Its a very inexpensive mod and would seem like just that would help with wheelies?

Some bikes are just more wheelie friendly than others, While I have no trouble getting the klx up I've had other bikes that wanted to be ridden that way all day long, ie: Honda XL600. That bike is a wheelie machine.

The wheelbase is 2" shorter. I think the front end of the xt225 is also just much lighter. The bike weighs 238 dry. I also think because I have a huge rear tire and a small front tire my bike is sitting like a hot rod, so it is harder to lift the front. I cannot for the life of me get it up in 2nd gear.
