RE: What is with these Harley riders?
It's just a matter of time when the CEO's of HD and other American bike manufacturers figure out how much more dough they can make by having the bikes made in China!
Yeah, just the other day my bike and I were passed by a Harley.
I waved after I put down my hot dog and coke.

and remember 95% of harleys are still on the road, the other 5% made it home.

Re: The Waving - In my experience, most people wave, but most Harley riders don't. That's fine. I'm not going to judge someone based soley on whether the wave to me on their motorcycle or not. Sometimes, if I'm coming around a corner or coming to or from a stop, I don't wave back either. For the record, I've also noticed almost nobody waves if they are riding two up.
That said, I don't know if I would have tried to pass a pack of 15 bikes if I couldn't do it safely all in one shot, and the KLX would needa pretty long straightaway to do that.
If you're only passing a few at a time then you're basically forcing yourself into their group. No offense to you, but I think that could be seen as kind of rude and unsafe. I certainly wouldn't do anything to endanger you, but, yeah,I might flip you off too. Sorry man.

VTGreen, you're just not getting into the spirit of it. According to the RULES OF THE ROAD what they are doing is illegal by not allowing people to pass around individual riders. As a Vermonter, the first state admitted to the Union after the original 13 colonies, don't you know anything about the law or Rules of the Road? Lay off the maple syrup and get with it. It is a PUBLIC HIGHWAY, HARLEY FORMATIONS DON'T OWN IT BUT SHOULD SHARE IT.
Got the impression that the odds were good but the goods were odd.
