Default WR250R

Rode the new WR250R today and all i can say is

Kawi Lift your game

I have ridden the new 09 KLX and i hate to say it but no match for the Yammi

I think Kawi will shi#$%@ their pants buy now because the dealer told me the new yammi is walking out the door and they cannot keep up with demand.

Heaps more power and a sweet ride with stock suspension being spot on.

My next bike will be a lager bore size but for a 250 that thing rocks.

I feel a bit guilty now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still love my KLX

I didn't go out to the shed after as i thought the KLX would smell the yammi on me andnot start next time just to teach me a lesson Ha Ha.

Yeppers, this years WR has a design date of 2005, the KLX is basically a 95 design with slight ammendments in 02, so your observation is correct. I think the Kawi has stood the test of time and is nearing classic cult status. I know the WR is fast because I had to ride like Id stolen it to get away from one in an enduro, he had slight horsepower on me but I had more ***** in the corners, he came in around 2 minutes after me in both rounds. I noticed his horsepower advantage in open territory but when it got tight and lots of air I pulled away.

i dont know, maybe its just me but the $1000 price difference for 6 or 7 more horses and more weight just doesnt seem worth it to me. might as well go get a ktm if youre seriously concerned about power and have money to burn. $1000 buys a lot of gas and or tires. i know im just crazy.

Now that I've finally modded my KLX into what I want it to be, I'm way too attached to trade it in or sell it. Beside, if I bought the WR, I would immdediately send the seat pan to Renazco, so here we go all over again[8D]Nuh, uh

If I went that route, I'd could just plate a WR250F here in Japan very easily...or better yet, a KLX450R.

It takes around $1000 to get 6-7 more horses out of the klx.

That can be done with the CVK, so more like 400-500 if you have the stock unit sleeved.

I never had the chance to ride aWR but judging from the reports that are now coming in I thinktheWR 250 is the better of the two bikes. But if money is an issue then the klx is your bike. If the extra grand is not an issue then theWR is your bike and if money is no issue then theKTM EXC450 is your bike. IMO.... So choose your weapon and ride.....

Even though I think there are better bikes than the klx I still love mine......[sm=smiley20.gif]
