Would you let someone test drive your bike?

I would add they must prove they have insurance in addition to proper endorsement and gear. I bought my KLX without a test ride and the owner even offered to let me test ride. I did not have any of the above mentioned "requirements". Then again I bought it on the way to my first MSF class, and got a great bike in the deal.

Why should he budge? If a prospective buyer shows up with full amount in cash I know I wouldn't negotiate much on the price...
Whether you're selling or buying I'd say it's best to get the price settled on before riding. Then the hard part's done. Just don't pull out 3K in this example; have 2300 in one pocket and some other big bills in another.

If the buyer comes back from a ride with a huge grin it's hard to negotiate much?

Sorry RA but I had to smile a bit on that one. If some one pulls out less than I want I go inside and watch TV.

Take a picture of them and their car[plate].
