jeebus thats fast on this bike. I havent got to 90, but i've pushed 80 and it feels like the slightest gust of wind wants to push the wheels out from under me. Also could be because i could be too big for this bike and i'm not very aero dynamic.

Could be the front fender, too. You might want to look into a supermoto style fender that may be a little stiffer and shaped to cut through the wind a little better.

+1 on the motard fender; they make a difference. That said it doesn't take much to make this bike oscillateat high speed. You can induce it with a quick right/left snap on the handle bars at freeway speeds. You may have also noticed that if your clutch action is too jerky a higher speeds you can induce the same thing. One of the projects on my list is a steering dampner, which I think willlessen that effect. I'll give it a thorough evaluation and post results.

once you make it to 105 all you have to do is think of going left and you go left. Its just kind of freaky on a dirtbike but I've gone 170 on a R1 and it wasn't tooo bad.

Yeah, I've got the motard version, but still don't like to maintain high speeds for very long. I hadmy CBR1100XX Blackbird up to 170 on a Japanese expressway. Much more stable than the dirt based frames, but there was some 'hobby horsin' up in that range.

It's a 250 dual purpose bike .............. it is not designed to do that sort of speed.

The speedos are off a little on the KLX, 90mph is really about 82-85mph. As the bike reaches that critical 88mph "zone" make sure you have the right time and date dialed into the flux!
