no i didnt order directly from two brothers. i got it for 310 total. that includes ship and handling. the place i ordered it from is kinda jerkin me around though. i waited a week then called and asked why it had not shipped yet and was told that two brothers is building it and almost a week later was told that two b. made an inventory error and it would be on back order for two weeks. bunch of bs but what can you do? I think the two bros. is one of the nicest looking slipons out there. Just remember if you plan to go to 300cc or larger in the future the stock head pipe with a slipon will not be sufficent enough, you will need to go with a larger dia. head pipe.

ORIGINAL: JB1
Theres been problems with the BIGGUN too and they cant be solved using just a 1/2-1" spacer. There problems are more quality issues than mtg issues. I think all of the kits have certain downfalls.....jmo

I might add that the 2 bros. pipe is real nice and i'd bet it fits well, their products are excellent and that pipe is made exclusively for the 250S- that's good. but remember to get a longer chain if you want that 45-tooth sprocket to fit. trust me, you have to. kudos for getting a rare pipe. i think the wait will be worth it.

actually theres been a couple guys talk bout the big gun havin issues other than rust. they were talkin bout how the end cap bolts would fall out or something or broke, i have the hmf and i just twisted it a little and it fits good, barely rubs the fender but of course u could use a small spacer, on mine i wouldn't even need a 1/2 ' spacer.it gave my bike tons of more torque too. i;ve been doin so much stuff i would get stuck on with the original pipe. the hmf gives me great torque

wow touchy subject. like i said everyone has an opinion. i will let you all know what i think of the pipe when i get it installed. by the way you can look at the dyno chart on the two brothers site. gains a couple of horses. i will just be glad to see the stock exhaust gone at this point. it sucks. thanks for all the input guys.

I'll bite! first of all yes the 06 & 07 are the same. My MUZZY is the best exhaust ever invented, no rust, minor fitment problems (foot peg) good looking, great build quality, sound and performance are top-notch! I got the entire system head pipe and can shipped to my door for about $360 last year. Keep in mind that I haven't seen, heard or used any other exhaust systems, but that is my .02 cents
Oh, and my Muzzy's stainless doesn't rust like the BG!!

What's the best exhaust set up to buy if you are going to keep it stock for awhile, 1 year or more, and then go to the big bore kit later? I just bought an 06 last saturday but haven't ridden it yet, but I have a feeling i'm gonna want more power pretty soon. Anybody ever put heated grips on their bikes? I will probably ride a bit in the cold and at night so this is a concern for me. Thanks, for info, Brian

it's all personal preference. but if you are going to bore it later on, you need a full system. none of those slip-on noisemakers will do when you bore it. plus, judging from some of the costs people are paying for slip-ons, a full system is a better value. if you want the absolute best fitting system, BigGun can't be beat. I have one and love it and have had no problems other than a couple vibrated screws out the back which BG replaced free- but one guy on here has one and has gotten surface rust where it shouldn't have because they have a ceramic coating that's supposed to prevent rust. one good thing about the BG is the header stays shiny chrome at least mine has and won't discolor; unless it rusts i guess. Muzzy makes a good system too, it's fully stainless steel and will not rust. drawback is it discolors immediately and there are some minor fitment issues with it including rubbing the rear passenger footpeg. guys are taking their peg off and grinding it down and saying that corrects it. there really aren't any more full systems out there that don't cost both your arms. staintune makes one but imo it's really ugly and is just a name and doesn't look like it belongs on a dirtbike. you can also buy a fourstrokeworks header pipe ($140 or so)and your choice of slip-on. research research. that's the fun of it.
