Why would my 2006 keep idling & rolling in 1st with clutch out/disengaged?
So, first of all my clutch cable seems to get stuck. I noticed something funny on the stand when I was looking at it, and playing with it. On the stand, I can have my bike in first gear and let the clutch out with no throttle and the rear wheel starts going. I took it out for a ride, and it rides normally, except when slowing down getting ready to stop, I can shift down to 1st, let the clutch out, give it no throttle....and it will keep going/driving on idle(no throttle at all), very slowly basically puttering along not cutting out at all. However, I experimented further. If I am already at a stop while idling, with the clutch engaged, if I let the clutch out, it dies as normal.
Any thoughts?
P.S., I do make sure the clutch lever is not stuck when having these issues

This is just normal behavior on all bikes. When on the stand, there is enough drag between the clutch plates that the rear wheel will usually turn even with the clutch pulled in. On the stand with the clutch out...of course the rear wheel will turn. Slowing down and idling, as long as you aren't going uphill or through high grass or mud, and as long as the idle is set high enough...of course it will Putt-Putt along. If you are sitting still and idling and let out the clutch, it dies because it doesn't have enough torque to get the bike moving without slowing down the engine too much. If you were pointed downhill and were VERY CAREFUL to let the clutch out slow enough, you COULD start it going without giving it any throttle.
The bigger the engine, the easier it is to start off from a dead stop without throttle. The lower the gearing, the easier it is to start off from a dead stop without throttle.
This is normal.
