Default Why is everyone in such a hurry in a car

I got lots of practice dealing with impayshent(sp) people. Also why learning to shift..ALso got a bruise in my hand from holding the left handle bar.But I an now a decent driver.

You have to go 40 cause its the only way to keep it under 4000 rpms. ITs how you you break in the motor. I did drive it up and down a 35 mile street but there was still ****holes who will ride you like there dying and need to get somewhere.

Don't pay attention to the break-in sticker on the bike, its just bike manufactures way of protecting themselves. Keep practicing and you will get better, but as Todd has said on more than one occasion, get yourself into the Beginners motorcycle safety course, don't let pride keep you from learning what to do to stay alive. Good luck. Oh and like I said before, download the Google Toolbar, the spell check is awesome. It works no matter what forum you are posting in. Trust me I find spelling errors in my posts every time, so not trying to put you down, it just helps make the post look better.

Well, I know what you mean. All the roads around me are 65mph or somebody's on your butt all the time. I decided not to follow the factory breakin recommendations, and went with the mototuneusa rec's instead. This decision was made on my first ride, after about 5 miles, when a pickup truck full of rednecks came up behind me about 25mph quicker than I was doing....No regrets though, the bike is running great at 800+ miles.
