Default Who's running 331cc with stock CVK?

I'm looking for advice in the jetting dept from those who have done the 331 upgrade (either Kustom Kraft or Bill Blue sleeve)...
After running a few hundred kms on my new top end and checking the plug a few times, I'm pretty sure I'm lean.

I've got:
- Pilot jet - Kawi #40
- Main jet - Dynojet #132
- Needle - Dynojet needle 4th slot
- Exhaust - full Muzzy
- Airbox - very enlarged opening (50% open)

I ride from sea level up to 3500 feet or so. The plug insulator is very clean and white, so I'm thinking I could really go richer.
(I'm not doing plug chops, just general plug reads after a day of riding).

I'm trying to decide right now if I should spend time and effort trying to nail down the right jet sizes for my CVK?
Or should I just quit fooling around and get a TM33 from Bill Blue?
But then, he sets them up for 250S... I might end up having to screw around with the TM33 as well when I get it..??

Assuming I'm gonna stay with the CVK for now - any recommendations for me?

I'm thinking of buying the 140 mainjet, and maybe even a couple larger ones too.
Also was thinking of a larger pilot - maybe 42.5...

Jason, you will probably need a 140 main jet. Your pilot should be fine. As you increase altitude of course your 132 mainjet will become more correct. You will probably have a wider range of acceptable performance with your CV carb than with a direct pull pumper, but at the expense of a crisp throttle and perhaps some overall horsepower. I'd cut to the chase and get the pumper if I had the money to do it. It should help you realize more of the potential of the big bore. The TM 34 can be jetted up to work well with your engine too. Again, I used a 140 main and a 37.5 pilot with the needle on the second slot from the top. You may go a bit larger on your jetting since your airbox is so opened up, or you could compromize a bit to let the mixture come in as you gain altitude.

Bill
