Cool Who's got & uses a GoPro???

If you've got a GoPro do you like it and more importantly how much do you use it? I guess what I'm asking is did the novelty wear off after a few vids or do you use it on a somewhat regular basis? Thanks

I film every ride. Dual sport rides and Hare scrambles. I enjoy re-living the rides, critiquing my riding, and catching the occasional crash

I had the original GoPro, upgraded to the GoProHD2 last fall. I loved the original and the new HD2 is even better. Be warned that the HD cameras need a lot of computer processor power to do any editing. I just watch the videos as i shot them for now.

Default Go Pro.......knockoff

I have a Swann Freestyle HD (GoPro knockoff). Still experimenting with finding the best place to mount it. Had it mounted on the top of my helmet, but when I get whacked by branches, the thing gets knocked around and I wind up taking videos of the sky/treetops.

When I mount it on the handlebars, the vibration of both my thumpers shows through in the footage.

All-in-all, I'm happy with the footage and with the ability to re-live the ride and also to share the ride with others.

I got one when they first came out, had it before everyone had one. I used it a couple times and watched the videos one time and thought....I am not going to spend the hours it takes to edit videos and really make them good and sold it. Have not looked back.

Just depends on what type of person you are. If you like the editing and such you may like having one. If you would rather ride then sit at a computer, I would say save your money.

I've got one and I'm glad I do. I have always enjoyed photography so messing with pics and video is relaxing to me.
Thos with Hero 2, is there much difference? I mean what does it do better?
Here's my last KLX vid. Maybe it will sell you on one?

What version of the gopro do you have now?

The HD2 is super clear, it gives you a lot of options for image size and frame rate. super clear super slo mo is attainable with the higher frame rates. It has many little changes that make it easier to use. Record indicator lights on four sides and different beeps for different functions. one beep for record two beeps for stop record. I like it
you need a higher power computer and some software which i dont have yet , to make the most of it though.

IMO, you got your money's worth with the bike upside down shot. That's awesome!
Have you seen this one?
