Default Who Wants a Large Carbon Fiber Gas Tank?

I'm fed up with waiting for companies and I love to make my own stuff. I'm going to create a mold this week. How many others want one? It'll be at least 3 gallons, all carbon, I'll try to use the stock cap.. maybe incorporate a fuel gauge?

Would it just replace a stock tank without need for modifications?

What are your design parameters other than capacity?
Will it use the stock shrouds?
If not, will it accomodate radiator braces?
Is it for a traditional carb model ro an EFI model KLX 09+?
Will you be ensuring there is decent clearance between the carb and the tank for those of us with FCR35 carbs?
Will it leave enough space for a steering damper?

What sort of price would you look to charge for it once done? And would you be willing to ship internationally (Australia)?

I will be using a 09 klx250sf as a mock up, stock carb. How much room do you need for the larger carbs? I would leave room for it since alot of people willing to buy this thing are in the market to improve the bike with aftermarket parts. I'm shooting for over 3.5 gallons however I can get it but we'll see just how much I can get. Yes it will use the stock shrouds.

I'll take pics along the way, I was going to get started tonight but I had too much going on. I have a free day tomorrow so maybe I can get the form started!

Does anyone have a good connection for carbon fiber?

Good grief, zomby...everyone knows that. It's a 3-part movie series about the virtual world and the real world clashing in a futuristic scenario.

I dont see this being cost effective to produce...but i would LOVE one. Wonder what kind of weight it would save vs the steel tank?

I won't charge much more than what it costs to make. I don't care much about money, I think it would be satisfying to have a part I produced make other people's lives more convenient
