I live in silver lake. My favorite ride is little tujunga thru angeles forest to rower flats OHV. Might be able to go this weekend but my back has been killing me all week so may hold off.

I rode my other bike on Angeles Crest, Monday. Stopped to take a picture and noticed oil on my right boot. I then couldn't find a leak. Went home and washed the bike and did the talcum powder trick. Found a small weep that must have been pooling in the engine gaurd and blown out when I was wringing it out on the 2.

My next day off I'm fixing the leak on the boxer, and putting new breaks on the KLX.

Maybe a drink at thirsty crow or something. I live Vermont/Hollywood.

I kid, I kid! I've ridden by myself in the desert at times...it's very, very dangerous to do so, and she's right in trying to make sure you stay OK.

I live in Southern Nevada...if you've ever done the LA-Barstow-Vegas dual sport ride, we could start one morning in our respective towns, and meet in Barstow that evening...if one of us didn't show up, we could alert the authorities. I guess that doesn't help out a lot, does it? (It is a challenging ride that I'd recommend doing, if you haven't. It is cold in the mornings, though!)

I hope someone chimes in soon to ride with you.
Speaking of LA to Vegas, my girlfriend is in training for 2013. That is part of the reason she doesn't want me to ride alone, off-road. She went over the handlebars going over a little drop down in San Diego, and had the bike land on her. Between that, and my stories of falling and getting stuck (alone), she is putting her foot down.

It wouldn't hurt, but sometimes you just need help getting 600 pounds of motorcycle out of a ditch. Especially if its on your leg.
1 guy = 1 hour stuck
2 guys = 5 minutes

Thirsty crow is only a block from my house, thats perfect. I suppose its good to have a buddy at the bar too incase a 600 lb bike falls on your leg haha.
