Default Who has put the most miles on their klx?

Anyone have 20,000+ miles yet? I'm curious as to how long the valves & pistons on these bikes will last. Anyone run into any other high mile issues?

11,000 and no issues yet, although I did have the Camshaft with the ACR replaced at around 2500 under warranty. The guys at the Kawi dealer said that it was really normal noise, but I pushed it and they obliged.

My '09 brought home June 19, 2008, and I have a smidge over 8,000 miles. I gotta slow down... I'm putting far too many miles on this poor bike. It'll be due for a rebuild by the time I pay it off in 2012...

I think I've put a little over 5500 miles on mine, got it this past July with 1000 already on it. It STILL has the highway stutter. So effing annoying.

When did everyone do their 1st valve check? Mine has a lot of 7k rpm droning on it.

Ijust went and checked milelage. I know have 37,045 miles.I had to rebuild not to long ago. I could have gotten by with rings but I chose to do a 300 cylinder.I also had to replace the exhaust valves the sealing surfave of the valves where pitted from the carbon deposits getting under faces of valves.

7 miles to work? Wow talk about your commutes. That's two and a half times farther than my commute to work. And sometimes.....just maybe I might see another car in the morning.
